Located in Levante di Caorle seafront, a few steps from the historic seaside village center, the Monaco hotel has been completely renewed according a wide plan of real estate enhancement. In this project the metal ceilings played a key role, to give dynamism to the long hallways leading to the bedrooms.

Metal ceilings: Atena Macramè metal mesh
Macramè is an expanded metal, one of a kind, made by Atena through a manufacturing process that ripples the perforated metal. A sophisticated aesthetic appeal, where each variable such as the drilling pattern size and geometry, the execution speed and the sheet orientation in the machine significantly affect the final result.
An industrial craftsmanship work to transform metal into fabric, evoking the famous macramé laces made with the ancient sailor methods of yarns interlacing and knitting, without the use of needles and hooks. A material with an iridescent, soft and velvety appearance, which maintains the resistance and durability properties of the natural steel.
To realize the metal ceilings in the hallways leading to the bedrooms of Monaco Hotel, Atena Macramè was chosen in the single-layer version with transparent protection treatment, which enhances its faceted surface. Macramè “simply” lay-in the supporting aluminum profiles, Ral 9003 white color and 50mm base, mechanically fixed to each other and regularly hanged on the deck.
In this context, all modules are different from each other, a game of formats and shapes determined by the supporting profiles that give rhythm to the geometry of the configuration, while the expanded metal drapes the surface and well balance the carpet and the furniture colors.
A technical solution this one, that required a mastery installation of ceilings systems and a skilful integration with the light cuts and the plasterboard closing.
